Ya todas las miras estan puestas en el Gran Campeonato del año para los amantes del Polvo de Ladrillo y obviamente para los Top Ten del Circuito que están obligados a hacer un buen papel si quieren mantener sus lugares de privilegio en el Ranking. Roland Garros, como todo campeonato de Grand Slam reparte 1000 Puntos para el Ranking, el doble que los torneos de Master Series. Por tal motivo ya todos piensan en él.

Despite a wobble in his first round in Rome, Argentine star David Nalbandian is on top of his game. Up to number three in the world and fresh from his tournament win in Estoril, he now feels confident enough to aim for the bigger prizes. Interestingly, Nalbandian and Nadal have still not met on the circuit.

Question: Do you see yourself as the top challenger of Federer and Nadal going into the French Open?

Nalbandian: The French is always special. It's a very long tournament, there are very long matches, so you need to be very fit. I think that I can be one of the guys who is gonna fight for the title for sure. I am very confident in my game, playing better every time. I'm sure that Nadal, Federer and Gaudio together with a lot of clay court players are gonna play well in Paris as well.

Q: What does it take to beat Federer and Nadal on clay?

Well I haven't played with Nadal yet, so I can't tell you. With Federer I haven't played on clay for I don't know: four or five years....I know that I can beat anybody.
